Meet me in Rock.

Four unhurried days of harbour air, excellent food and the sort of coastal wandering that doesn’t need a timetable.

The plan

Four days, nicely paced.

Make it easy

A few handy things.

The kind of information it is much nicer to have to hand than to hunt for once you are there.

01

Rock ↔ Padstow ferry

The passenger ferry is the easy way to cross the Camel Estuary. Check that day’s times before setting out, particularly for the last return crossing.

02

Very close together

Four Boys and The Mariners are both by Rock’s ferry slipway. The hotel is on Rock Road, so evening plans should be delightfully uncomplicated.

03

For the drive

Check live National Highways traffic before leaving, especially for the M5 and A30. A little buffer after lunch at Sheppy’s will keep the arrival relaxed.

Take layers

October on the north Cornish coast can do sunshine, wind and a shower in the same afternoon. A good coat and proper shoes are the only real essentials.
